American Bulldog Cells and DNA.
The cell is the basic unit of life this includes all plant and animal
life. The vast majority of these cells are very small and cannot been seen
by the human eye without the aid of a microscope. They are covered with
a cell membrane and have many different shapes. The internal makeup of
a cell are called the protoplasm.
The Somatic cell is what makes up all plants and animals excluding the cells used for reproduction. It contains a constant number of chromosones that are generally in pairs of homologous chomosomes one from the father and one form the mother of the organism. Cells that are called diploid have two copies of every chomosome.
The american bulldog puppy you have was created from gametic cells or the sperm and the egg. Both the sperm and the egg have only one set of chromosomes and then they join they become knoin as the the diploid state of the somatic cell
The somatic cell then grows and has two major phases of development known as the Interphase and the Mitotic. The Interphase consists of the stages and one must be complete before the next stage can begin (normally). The first stage of the Interphase is knwon as the G1 and is the Pre DNA phase. The G1 basically allows growth the appropriate size to allow stage two to take place. The second stage is known as the S stage and it allows DNA replication and protein synthesis and it makes exact copies of each chromosome. The third stage is the G2 stage and it basically makes sure that the cell is ready for Mitosis. It has a checks and balances ability to ensure all materials for cell division has been obtained and all DNA has been passed on and completed properly.
The last phase is the Mitotic, it is when the nucleus divides into two nuclei and things getty really cool...
Mitosis has four major stages, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. The prophase stage the chomosomes get shorter and get much thicker. This allows for the metaphase to begin and then the mitotic spimdles are made. The chomosomes then attach themselves to the spindle fibres and "line up" ready to be pulled appart from the metphase plate.
Then the centromeres pull from each pole and you have complete seperation of the two sister cromatids.
The telophase then gives you two complete nuclei that now surrounds the chomosomes and the spindles have dissapeared.
Deoxyribonucleic acid, is DNA and it is the road map of all american bulldog puppies. Known as a detailed coding of proteins in your puppy that is made up ofof carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, and phosphorus atoms.
